Research Interests

I am vegetation ecologist, studying patterns of alpha and beta diversity of plant communities along environmental gradients, processes generating spatial pattern and trait-based assembly rules. I am also interested in vegetation classification, and general methodological aspects of (mainly multivariate) data analysis.

Lab Introduction

- descriptive vegetation studies related to certain vegetation type or certain region in Taiwan

- study of plant diversity along environmental gradients (elevation, cloud, productivity)

- establishing plant species indicator values for Taiwan

- effect of number of individuals on alpha and beta diversity of forest vegetation

- study of trait-based community assembly in Taiwan’s cloud forest
